BEYOND THE BIG TOP CABARET

November 20th – 21st, 2025 | The GRAND Theatre, Calgary, AB

Set against the backdrop of a 1930s Prohibition-era speakeasy, Beyond the Big Top Cabaret is an original circus-theatre production by Le Cirque de la Nuit that blends contemporary circus artistry, live music, dance, burlesque, drag and theatrical storytelling into a bold and immersive cabaret experience.

Featuring an ensemble of professional multidisciplinary artists, the production brings together breathtaking circus performances, live musicians, dynamic dance numbers, larger-than-life characters, theatrical comedy and unexpected moments that blur the lines between traditional circus, theatre and cabaret.

Originally developed for the 2025 Calgary Stampede, Beyond the Big Top was expanded into a full-length, 90-minute theatrical production, building on its original creative concept with additional performances, character development and immersive storytelling.

Celebrating the artistry, individuality and creative expression of its performers, Beyond the Big Top Cabaret offers audiences a contemporary take on the classic cabaret experience, filled with spectacle, humour, a little rebellion and plenty of surprises.
